Take Out The Trash

Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

When you throw something disgusting into a trash can, it stinks whenever you open it up.  It will permeate the room every time you open it up until you change it out and put in a new, clean bag. When you mess with sin and keep allowing it into your life, it’s not a pleasing aroma to God.

We can’t dabble with sin and move forward in our walk with God.
In Galations 6:7-8, It says: ” Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”

You can try to hide things from your friends, family or pastor, but you can’t hide it from God. We have to make a choice to fully surrender to God and allow him to change us. Let Him take out that trash bag of sin and put something new and clean in place.
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”1 John 1:9

It’s not easy turning away from sin. You will still be tempted, but call upon the Lord and He will save you.

When we fast and pray, read the Bible, ect. We are feeding the spirit and we are growing in our walk. If we keep pressing on and following God’s word, we will reap the rewards in the end and have everlasting life.

Mackenzie editor

Hi there! My name is Mackenzie and I'm the content manager and occasional writer here at Women Bringing Heaven ministries. Here's a little bit about myself: I love Jesus, I'm in my early 20s, and I have a cat named Milo that I adore. I have an autoimmune disorder called Alopecia Areata that causes my hair to fall out. Since my hair does not want to stay in, I keep my head shaved and rock the wigs. I LOVE to read. I tend to read christian/historical fiction. I try to read at least one classic book a year. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte and Pride and Predudice by Jane Austen are my favorites. I never really thought that my hobby of putting videos together could turn into a ministry opportunity. I'm excited to see where God takes WOTW. Favorite Scriptures: Psalm 37:4 Proverbs 31:30
